you are cruel and unusual [, palmdale]

Drunkenly mapping out 500 days of Summer; day by day. also, i had a huge urge to make thai style fried rice. My friend told me how to make it lat night. i didn't really understand what he was saying but i think i got the gist of it; however, after much consideration, i found it too much work at this hour.

i will now show you, the reader, how to make thai style fried rice.

step 1 make sticky rice. set aside. (to make sticky rice, you boil rice in a 1:1 ratio. boil the rice until boils. let it boil for two minutes then let it sit on low heat for ten minutes. boil again for two minutes and let sit on low heat for ten minutes. after all of that it should be done. i think. after all, i wasn't really paying attention when he described it to me.)
step 2 cut up desired vegetables and or meat. cook in non stick pan until browned (i say browned hypothetically, even though say you were cooking tomatoes, they wouldn't brown, they would...red?)
step 3 add rice, then add oyster sauce. i don't know how much oyster sauce, just ball park it to the point that you think you've got enough. mix (stir?) until all of the rice is nice and browned.

if it all worked out, it should be really good. some things that you might consider adding: pineapple, cashews, or even shrimp? who knows, it's your late night snack.

ps. if you want to know what i thought about 500 Days of Summer, wait. let me sober up. i'm still on break, goddamn it.
